Rockport, Good Harbor and Long Beach

Celebrating my birthday with family !

What a beautiful birthday celebration this year. Monday night we enjoyed a scrumptious dinner at Tesoro, one of our favorite places to dine. My mom and the kids went and we enjoyed a nice evening being together. On my day, Stephen put together a cookout for some of the family, it was a fun afternoon and evening. Stephen surprised me with a little vacation for just the 2 of us to one of our favorites spots, Rockport, Ma, Long Beach and Good Harbor beach, we had a fabulous time, and a well needed time alone, especially now that Troy is feeling better.

Stephen takes such pride in keeping the landscaping and lawns so beautiful and weed free. He does a fabulous job! We so enjoy spending all our time outside during the summer, we enjoy our pool. It is such a long winter in the house, we need to spend every beautiful day outside.

Damon and Mel are in town

We spent a beautiful evening with Stephens side of the family Damon, Melissa and the kids are in town from Colorado. Nick and Darlene put on such a beautiful dinner for the family. We had barbecue chicken, hamburgers, fresh corn on the cob and Darlene's to die for cucumber macaroni salad. We celebrated Damon's 40th birthday, with his favorite cake from carvel. I am not aloud to post pictures as they like to keep their privacy. They have asked in the past not to put photos on the blog. So I am happy to respect their privacy. ( they feel it is a bragging blog). Which I feel I don't do, but whatever. It was a fun night, and I can say I am glad the weekend is over, it was a very busy one. This week will be a short work week for Stephen and I, and Troy will start his summer job tomorrow a week late due to his health issues. I pray that he will get through the days without any problems. We need to take one day at a time.

Steinmann visit

Our dearest friends Kathy and Al Steinmann were visiting us this weekend. They now live in Denver,  Colorado. They moved from here 3 years ago, hard to believe. We miss them so much, but you can tell a true friend when you can pick up where you left off with no awkwardness. We still keep in touch and they are true friends. We enjoyed a cookout tonight, with my BFF Katie and her family , and Nancy, as Garry and the girls are at the lake house in lake George . The kids enjoyed their time together as did we. They will be here a couple more days and we hope to see them one more time before they leave.

Alexis and Zach made it on one of the Ferri Formals Bridal page. They are looking Fabulous together !

Congratulations to Alexis Vagianelis and Zach Malitz looking great at the Guilderland Senior Ball! Alexis is wearing a fabulous royal blue Alyce Paris dress to celebrate! Wishing Alexis a successful senior year and Zach lots of luck in college in the fall at Marist. Stop back to see us when you make it big! lol! XOXO

4th of July

July 4th was spent with my family at my brothers Garry's house.  My brother and sister in law were up from Florida to help my niece Megan and her family move into their new home in Rotterdam. They are moving back to the area from North Carolina, they missed the family so much and they wanted their children to grow up and value how much family means. We had a fun day filled with swimming, playing a game of whiffle ball, and of course the food was fabulous ! We had a barbecue and of course I made my famous chicken wing nacho cheese dip, which is always a hit. We had desserts, that were devine. After dinner we had a fire in the fire pit, roasted marshmellows, and listened and danced to some country music. It was such a fun night and we all can't wait to be on vacation altogether next month on the cape. It has been a rough week for us with Troy being very sick and in and out of the hospital, we needed a night like this. Troy is on the mend we hope, more blood work is needed to assure us of this, but the power of prayer that everyone is sending us is making a positive outcome. Until we know for sure about everything, I'd rather not discuss it, thanks for keeping our privacy.
