Troys is garenteed 4 years of housing

We are so proud of Troy, he is garenteed 4 yrs of residency at BC. I would hate to have to find a apartment for him outside of campus. Having some experience in that manner, being a former student in Boston, yes, many of you don't know that, and the expenses it occurs, I find it very wasteful of your money. That would mean extra unnecessary expenses. He has held his above average GPAs which intitles  him to 4 yrs of on campus housing. So grateful that he has made friends and roommates out of his peers and adjusted his life to accept friends into it, so he will spend the next 2 yrs with them . We are sooooo proud of you and you are an outstanding  son !

Confirmation Retreat

Tomorrow Alexis will be departing for the weekend to attend her Confirmation retreat. We are so proud for her, for this weekend will give lots of time for yoga, meditation, and time to get to know herself and with that, try to make some decision about her future.  It is a relaxing weekend, fun with games, outdoor activities. She will be with some of her girlfriends, Sara , Sydney and Mariana. She will be at camp Pinnicle located in the Thatcher Park area. She has become a beautiful young lady and she will make her confirmation in the springtime with my mom as her sponsor. She was told to bring some snacks, I guess she is going all out on a unhealthy snack weekend. Good for her, we need to that once in while.

Christmas Photo Cards

We enjoying receiving the Christmas photo cards from our friends and family. I put each one on our door in the kitchen so we can enjoy yours or your smiling children's faces throughout the season. Sorry to say it is time to take them down, as I start to get stir crazy this time of year and I start to hate the clutter in the house, until next year, when we get to compare the growth of you all.

A Cold night In January

There is nothing like a cold night in January to light up the house with the winter theme. I love keeping up the lighted winter trees, the illumination of the candles, and the new flower arrangements from Experience in Schenectady, NY.  I usually keep all this up until late Feb or March.  I love to throw in a little Valentine decor.

Troys Trip To New Mexico

Troy has spent a week on the Jemez Pueblo Indian Reservation. He has had an amazing week, learning a lot of differcity. He is on his way home now as I'm writing and should be back in Boston at 1030 tonight. Safe travels ! He worked on their education , getting grants, and writing proposals. He started out in natural resource but it wasn't for him, he isn't into their terrain or obtaining water samples, and  a ton of hiking so he switched. I can't wait to hear all about his adventure. What an amazing opportunity, Boston College has given these kids, and cost free. He had to interview for this and he was selected, only 12 where selected to go, what an honor. Troy u continue to amaze us, you are very special. Get home safe and we will FaceTime this weekend. Love You !

A relaxing morning!

I woke up earlier than usual today, I think because I knew Troy was getting up at 3am leaving BC at 4am and his flight at 6am. He should be in Chicago now for his lay over. We will hear from him later when he arrives with his native Peublo family later today, safe travels ! So I sit in a quiet house with every one still in bed, including the B, enjoying my warm lemon water.

Setting the mood, a snowy night !

Still enjoying some of the lights I decided to keep up. I just love a snowy night with the illumination of candles and mini lights.

My favorite part of Christmas, NOT !

This is the saddest day of the season. I hate taking down all the Christmas decorations. The weather outside is freightful so a good day to get it done. The house looks so barren after. I will keep up the lights outside to make the nights a little brighter. Good bye to another holiday, I do have to say it was won of the bests! Happy 2014 !
